Lebanon was a sovereign independent nation with a true democracy and a true democratically elected president that was working in the interests of his people. So Bushy Bush stay the hell out of Lebanon.

To your question-- US stay out of lebanon...
Beind the scenes, tell Isreal kick some ***, then chill out.
Tell hamas and all those other jokers to chill out
Send mosad, cia and other intelligence agencies into those areas and start killing off the leadership of the terrorist organizations. one-by-one....leave their bodies in the steets (that's what the Russians did years ago-- don't hear much about ruskies getting hassled do ya).
Send a clear message to the leadershp that we've had enough and they need to stop.
