because the Lebanese army is really nothing significant at all, but the Israelis still feel like killing some of their neighbors. Civilians are all that's there.

Considering that both the PLO and the Hezbollah hide behind civilians, civilian casualties can not be avoided. It is like what some very ruthless conquerors have done in the past. You march women and children in front of your army to dishearten your foe. I am getting tired of the people who do not realize that it is the terrorists that put civilians in harms way and should be held accountable, not the mililitaries that are trying to stop the terrorists. The reason that Israel is in both Gaza and Lebanon is that both the Palestinians and the Southern Lebanese have declared war again on Israel by their actions. Both groups have invaded Israel and deserve to be stopped. The only way for this blood shed to stop is to have the Muslim countries stop the terrorists instead of giving them aid to carry out the attacks.

It is not OK. People do care also, its just finding the most efficient way of dealing with all of these problems we are currently faced. If people are truly interested in peace and by peace I mean global peace, than people must start taking responsibilities for their own actions. Soldiers for instance, do not create peace, with their civilian bombings and spread of Depleted Uranium. The actions that are carried out by people that are celebrated as heroic, need to be perceived as what they are, acts of war. Weather that be a U.S soldier or some extremists terrorist. There is currently many atrocities being carried out right now. The question is what is any of this madness accomplishing, other than madness. Which brings me to the point that is why it is OK to kill those civilians from some rich politicians point of view. They are interested in Global Domination, The real Government anyway. One way to achieve tyranny is through fear. Manifest Destiny! The elimination of the Native Americans was just the beginning.

Why was it OK for Hezbollah in Lebanon to fire a missile to Haifa and kill a grandmother and a four-year-old girl?

Who said it was ok?

It's not that no one cares. It is because there have been a lot of injustices committed by both sides, and most people now just feel like it's not our business, and even if it was, we wouldn't know how to solve it anyway.

Israel does this to punish Lebanon for allowing Hezbollah (a member of its government) to attack Israel.

Ask the Palestinians.

They are the ones shooting rockets at cities.

I have no pity for them. Before they can complain about this sort of thing - they have to stop doing it themselves.

it isn't "ok".
violence begets more violence.

there ARE people who cares.
people who understand we are all in this together - despite our differences.
there are even people who openly protest against violence and cry out for peaceful resolution... even though they know full well their pleas fall on deaf ears.

take heart.
stay informed.
promote non-violence as mankind's way towards conflict resolution.
keep hope alive.
