Do you think Michelle Wie is overrated?

further, do you think she is just a publicity stunt to garner attentions for wagging PGA tour dates? I'm sure she is very good, but I would imagine a lot of other pro female golfers could play better than she has recently. Why all the hype for her and not other female golfers her age, that have actually won tournements.

She hasn't even won anything ever and they put her on the PGA? come on......

I love how "she's hot" makes it all ok....whoever said that, you've identified yourself as 15 and younger.....

Dash you ignorant fool....no one said she doesn't have the right to play, I'm simply saying there are probably other female golfers that deserve to show they can play with them men. The only reason she gets to play is because of "SPONSOR EXEMPTIONS" meaning Nike wants to showcase her so they can sell more shoes using her face. This isn't about GOLF ability its about MONEY

Definitely overrated and definitely nothing more than a publicity stunt for weak PGA tourneys.

She is obviously overrated if she hasnt even won anything, and on the men's tour, in 5 events she has never made the cut. Ha, she even withdrew from today sighting that she was sick.

If she cant win one single event on the LPGA, there is no chance she will ever come close to winning on the PGA.

Only and i mean only reason for all this made up hype is because she is one of the youngest females ever to turn pro. Thats about it.

During the John Deere Classic this week, the sports people have been talking mainly about her and if she'll make the cut this year because she didn't last year. She didn't make it this year either because she had to withdraw because of heat exhaustion and food poisoning I think. She is becoming the female version of Tiger Woods. They're both overrated. Whenever either of them is in something it's like "Is Tiger Woods or Michelle Wie gonna make the cut?" "Are they(Tiger and Michelle) gonna win?" I don't really care. Let someone else have the spotlight in golf for a change.

Over-hyped maybe! She is after all only 16. She has a lot of time to improve and needs to concentrate on the LPGA tour until she starts to win. Being a golfer myself I know that it's not easy to sustain a good game. Remember while Michelle Wie is improving her game, everyone else is working just as hard to improve theirs.

There's never been a better female golfer as young as Michelle. She's also pretty and Tiger Woods friend so it's obvious why she gets publicity, but she deserves every bit of it. There have been many phenoms, mostly in baseball that failed to meet their expectations. Rick Ankiel is one I recall.
