i am a 25yr old single mother of 2 boys. last year one of my guy friends from high school Im'd me. we starting chatting catching up on what each other has been doing. he came over to my place a couple of times and we hooked up JUST for sex. we made this clear. well i moved away and he dated a girl or two, but we always stayed in contact with each other over the net. well recently i just moved back and i went out last night with a girlfriend of mine and he came to the club we were at to see me for a few hours. he text messages me sometimes when he is at work and we chat everynight on the computer, i just want to know how can i tell if he really likes me but is too shy, or if he still wants to keep things as friends with benefits?

If you expect love to develop then you should see signs of a willingness to commit to certain aspects of a relationship other than sex. Wanting to spend more and more time with you or around you and talk without there being a chance of sex is a good indication that there might be a romantic future. Being able to get non-committed sex is a real draw for a male though and sure he would want to see you a lot but how often is he wanting to date around? Is he wanting to date others or spend that time with you. What happens if you hold back on sex .. does he still call you as much and want to keep in as close of contact? Then you can always question him about if he has any other feelings other than friendship for you? It's not a totally unwarranted question to ask either. Good luck and if this is a person you want to have a romantic intimate relationship with I sure hope it's mutual and works out for you.

You do have to be careful in these situations because for girls it's always a lot easier to develop romantic feelings than boys when sex is involved. If you guys talk everyday and keep in touch that much then it sounds like there's something special there. Usually a good tell tale sign that he's into you is that he goes out of his way to spend more time with you. You could perhaps get another friend to go do some scoping? Hope this helps and good luck.
