I'm having the exact same problem I'm 15 5'4 and 140 pounds... i have been trying to lose weight in 8 days from now!!!!! i have already started to see some results... what i do is i do 100 crunches in the morning 100 in the afternoon and 100 at night. i also do 30 it UPS in the miring and 35 at night, but you can just do ab exercises... the muscle will form but you have to lose some fat to see it...so i jump on the trampoline for 45 minutes a day ( if you don't have on jump rope or do jumping jacks) then i also dance for about 30 minutes. ( i try and dance so i move a lot and it doesn't have to look cool if no one is around) Lol. then i run up and down the stairs for like 10 mintutes....i am also eating healthyer. And less. i have a chewy bar for breakfast. and like cheese and crackers for lunch, and then for dinner i have fruit and a few peices of ham.....or i have a low fat cereal... usually i would have a little bit more to eat than that but becuase we both don't have much time to lose the weight i try and not eat very much.! i hope this helped!!!!

Try drinking a lot of water -- not too much, but 6-8 8oz glasses a day. Stay away from the fat and sweets, and exercise a bit. And, that might help you with "a few pounds" as you said. Do not do anything that will take off more in that short of a time. It wouldn't be good for you. And, this may not work. We usually need to eat right and exercise over a good length of time to see results.

Well, I weigh that much and I'm about that height. Don't worry about losing weight, but doing some crunches should tighten your stomach up. However, I wouldn't bother with worrying about how I look because I always think I looked fine in a bathing suit, and so did all the cute guys on the beach. Just give those crunches a try and work on realizing that you'll look just fine no matter what.

You can only lose a few lbs between now and next weekend if you do it the right way. Cut back on your daily intake of calories by about 500, and do some walking or running every day till then. You might notice a slight difference in your weight, but don't expect it to be huge.

Read the recommendations below. Also, go to the book store and locate the book "Weight Training for Dummies". In chapter 15 you will find excellent information on how to perform abdominal exercises correctly. Page 218 of the book dispels all the myths surrounding abdominal training.
The following healthy living recommendations will help you if you’re trying to lose weight, tone up your muscles, have aspirations of building lean muscle mass, are attempting to get a wash board stomach, or just want to feel better:
*1) Burn more calories then you're consuming everyday and measure your results using the following formula: Calories Consumed minus Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) minus Physical Activity. Get a diet and fitness calculator that you can put on your computer or cell phone. This will allow you to easily calculate this formula, set goals, log your daily calorie consumption, and register your physical activities.
*2) Eat natural and organic foods found on earth versus something created by a corporation to make money. Eat meals in small portions throughout the day and take a good multi-vitamin supplement.
Avoid “High Glycemic Load Carbs” (sugar, pastries, desserts, refined starches such as breads, pasta, refined grains like white rice; high starch vegetables such as white potatoes) and drink lots of water.
Do not try fad diets or diet pills. Here is an excellent food pyramid that anyone can follow: http://www.rayandterry.com/html/images/PyramidLRG.gif?osCsid=26a424be471d1337e7c2f105d5c64d9d
*3) Exercise on most days by doing cardiovascular training and/or resistance training activities.
Read a book or find a certified trainer to make sure your doing all resistance training exercises correctly. A great book to buy that teaches you the resistance training basics is “Weight Training for Dummies”. A superb magazine to buy with resistance training routines that will not get you bored is "Muscle and Fitness". Signup for the free newsletter. An excellent free online resource is at http://www.exrx.net/
A good book to buy that teaches you the cardiovascular training basics is “Fitness for Dummies”.
*4) Get plenty of sleep. Sleep experts say most adults need between seven and nine hours of sleep each night for optimum performance, health, and safety.
*5) Educate yourself continually on health issues and make a life long commitment to good health. A great free publication is “Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2005”. A superb book to read is “You The Owner’s Manual”. An excellent periodic publication is the “Nutrition Action Health Letter”. A reputable test you can take to measure your biological age is at http://realage.com
Look at all areas where you can enhance your health. For example, make improvements in the quality of the air you breathe. Review outdoor air quality forecasts where you live and get an indoor air purifier. Email me if you want a good indoor air purifier recommendation and if you have other questions.

Run every morning before you eat forcing body to burn fat. Then eat fruits and tuna. One week is hard to lose 15 pounds. You better run twice a day. remember better if you are somewhat hungry when you run.
