#1 payoff all your debt for every credit card...DON'T USE CREDIT CONSOLIDATION...those will completely bring down your credit score
#2 once you have paid off all your credit cards DON'T CLOSE THEM BUT DON'T USE THEM. Believe it or not having open accounts with zeros balance will help your credit score rather then closing them
#3 order your credit report with freecreditreport.com you are by law entitled to one free credit report/yr. However you will not get a credit score with this free credit report. MAINLY...look for errors and if you see them report them to the credit

By law they have 30days to investigate any errors reported by the consumer and the burden of proof falls into the bureus not YOU...meaning that you just say that a late payment was actually paid and the bureau has 30days to confirm this or else they have to remove it. The best time to do this is Oct-Dec since they are the holiday season and people go on vacation thus less staff to work on these and the less time to investigate...
#4 don't open any new credit cards
#5 It will take about 1.5 to start seeing your credit score raise from the dead assuming you don't have bankrupcy

go to your bank and tell them you have bad credit and want an unsecured visa card from them. so you give them an amount. i gave my bank $500 and they gave me a credit card. as long as you pay off the credit card every month your credit score will go UP in couple months. they say 6 months, but my credit score went really up after just 4 months. i had 605 credit score and now its over 720. so it really works. and after 6 months you can go bak to your bank and get all that money back. dont get a secured visa card. those are not good. unless you really need one. those are the types of cards where incase you cant pay off the card they will take your house or car. so be carful what you get. unsecured visa card is the best.

First, do not pay someone to help you do it!!!!! If at all possible, get a small personal loan, don't spend the money, you may have to put up security to get it, just use the money borrowed to pay it back, you pay a little interest as well. Get a secured credit card, there are tons of companies out there with them, charge everything on it that you can, that normally you would pay cash for.

If you have a lot of negative items on your credit report, hire Lexinton law firm and they will dispute all your items untill they are deleted. It is $100 One time setup fee, and $30 a month after that, if you really want a clean credit history it's worth it. these guys have already delete four of my negative items in the last three months.

Don't worry about your credit score. If you pay your bills, you will have good credit and be able to borrow money. Just concentrate on limiting debt and paying what you have on time.

Work and patience. Call each credit agency and tell them that the late info is not correct and you want it investigated. Also tell them the correct info, this info will be put in place of the wrong info when the creditor does not respond within 30 days.
