For example, if you own two cars, and use the plates from one car on the other car. I don't mean stolen plates- say that both cars belong to you and you are using the wrong plates on one of the cars that you own.

Same as an unregistered and uninsured motorvehicle. Expensive!

you need plates on both cars no matter what!!!!
this is what I had to do. and have both insuranced even the one I dont drive. this stinks buts its the law and dont want pay a fine or court costs.
if the police run the plates you get to pay court costs and fines sometimes $200.

i dunno but I did that in tenn and all i got was a 50 dollar ticket
