Mostly not because i think that it has metal in it, and second off the batteries in there (i know from 2 weeks ago experience) or batteries period will set off the alarm, no...i dont think it will ruin it, just do thorugh if u would like or just put it in the cart n let it go through the scanner to avoid problem and misconception....yah...im pretty sure taht it has something that may set off a metal dedictor lol.

I've never had any problems taking mine through a metal detector! Can't say the same for my cameras with actual film in them though!

Well, it'll go off in the metal detector for sure. It won't harm it, but you'll get frisked.

Put it through the x-ray machine with your purse/backpack. It won't hurt it like a film camera.

Yes you can send those through a metal detector. I took mine on a trip to Washington D.C. and nothing got messed up. Have fun traveling!

Of course it can!!! Anything can go through a metal detector if it's big enough.

its fine! but its gonna go off! because there are metal screws in a camera! And x ray is fine too! digital camera dont have any effects from a x ray scan! but film does! so dont take any film and put it through a x ray scaner!! it will ruin it!!

It won't ruin it. It used to damage 35 mm film, but the metal detectors wont' even hurt that now.

Should be no problem to a digital camera as the pictures are stored on the medium totally different than they are on film. The problem with film cameras is the film itself and the xray beams. It would have adverse effects on the film and could ruin pictures. Digital pictures are stored and formed totally different therefor should be safe.

It will be fine going through the X-ray machine. Metal detector is what you go through.

Won't ruin it. The Xrays only affect film.

Put the camera in the little tray before you go through the arch, if you have concerns.
