Make sure you research this before you answer! If anyone thinks that Homosexuals are not "Born" homosexual, then they don't know any real Homosexuals. As one Homosexual I knew once said "I knew from the time I can first remember, that I was gay. He also said "Gay men even "Smell" different" and "I can pick another gay man out of a croud any day of the week". He picked up a Marine in a Bar once, right in front of me and walked out with him! Homosexuals have different brains than straight men. God made them that way, get over it!

In 1975 the American Psychological Association (APA) publicly stated that homosexuality is not a mental disorder, but "the way a portion of the population expresses human love and sexuality." This change of definition was a result of serious research and experimentation of a scientist named Karen Hooker. A test done in 1990 by D.F. Swaab showed that the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN) in the brains of homosexual males were twice the size of those in the brains of heterosexual males. The SCN is a nucleus in the hypothalamus which is a region of the mammalian brain and is very involved in the control of emotions and sexual activity.
While Swaab was doing his research, Laura S. Allen found that the anterior commisure of the hypothalamus was much larger in homosexuals than in heterosexuals. The results of these two scientists' experiments proved that homosexuality is biological, since the size of both the SCN and the anterior commisure are determined during the first trimester.

How could there be a gay gene, since homosexuals cannot pass down genes to children? They can't have kids.
Being gay is a choice, usually in early childhood they could be affected by thier suroundings and the people that they like or that they are with, then they build up this gay mentality, it is just all in the head, it feels right to them, however most kinds of sin do feel good, but sin is wrong, all sin not just homosexuality.
I don't hate gays, I just don't agree with thier gayness.
I am a Christian and I can't accept any sinfull lifestyle as ok, this includes homosexuality.
God will accept the person just as they are, but He doesn't want anyone to continue in their sinfull lifestlye whatever that may be.
That is why the Bible is against sin not the sinner.

So the scientific evidence for homosexuality being nature (instead of nuture) is one's guys smelling ability and some people's stories about their childhood.
That's not science at all.
How about some real science. Identical twins are genectic replica's of one another. Yet, it has been statistically shown that most homosexual twins have a strait brother or sister. This should not be possible if homosexuality is biological, because then they should share the same sexuality.
There is no science behind homosexuality being biological.

I think a lot of people born that it's not innate because it is not genetic. However, scientists have found that it is definitely due to the prenatal environment and sex-determining hormones that the fetus is exposed to and the fetal brain in particular. Anyway, people who deny the science can do so, but it's sad when people preach messages that their own bible doesn't even say of wish us to recognize. Leviticus is a portion of the Hebrew Bible that speaks about how to live kosher. Besides saying men shall not lay with another man, it also says we should not touch pig skin (so we shouldn't play with footballs), and many other codes on what to eat and what not to eat, to keep slaves and so forth. When Jesus came along, he said that the rules outlined in Leviticus are unnecessary to follow and that is why Christians do not keep kosher, but Jews still do. The writings about homosexuality do not specifically address any issues of homosexual relationships, but only that of sexual behavior. It's relevance to life today is insigificant. In the times of the bible, the passages refered to pagan religious rites and rituals involving sexual behavior. Responsible Christian homosexuals in monogamous relationships do not participate in homosexual orgies characteristic of pagan tradition, which is the behavior in question, so they are not sinners in the eyes of the bible. Though, any sex, if not done so to create a child, is sinful sex, but if you want to interpret it that way, then we are ALL sinners, aren't we?

Homosexuality is a choice and a bad one. It is an abomination Period! It's discusting and sick and so are those who participate it that filthy act.
God did not make people that way, HE is against it.
Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

There are also people who are born with pedophiliac tendencies -- but that doesn't mean that pedophiliac behavior is okay!
Just because people are born with the orientation toward a given behavior, doesn't mean that the behavior is acceptable or even healthy.
And there's no question that homosexual conduct severely cuts people's life span and puts them at much greater risk for a whole host of deadly diseases.

Being friends with some homosexuals does make me lean toward a genetic predisposition, because they have no reason to lie to me. I'm not going to judge them; I respect their right to "choose" to be homosexual if they wish. But none of the chose; they all tell me they couldn't help it, any more than I can help what guys I'm attracted to. *Shrug* And I, as their friend, am prone to believe them.

God also designed us to desire Cocaine and Desire Sex at the age of 12 (I know I was lusting after girls when I was that old) so should we allow that too? OF COURSE NOT. God has said to OBEY is what is required even over our own Desires. It is hard to sometimes admit that we have urges that are sinful. Are we to just say well God made us with these urges so I must give in to them NO. The bible is clear sin is sin and we must FLEE Those temptations.

Actually, people just think that they are gay. It is a choice - a sinful one. People only think that they were born gay because society tells them that they can be. Where is the proof that people are born gay? there isn't any
