Man 12 is huge milestone in a kids life... I recommend you get her things that demonstrates she is growing up, perhaps some make up and a book that teaches her how to apply it, perhaps take her to a concert, buy her some non-kid clothes, some really nice jewelry with her birthstone on it (perhaps a necklace)...oh there is so much you can do for a 12 year old.

Our 12 years olds like anything to do with making things. Like beaded jewelry or hair thingys. Friendship bracelets are good. They are also into crafts right now. Like the bead wall hangings, or the easy cross stitching. What fun!!!!! Our 12 year olds are a blast. Watch out!!!! Here comes the teen age years!!!! LOL

Buy her something that are related to things that she is interested in. If she doesn't like surprises, then maybe you should ask her what she wants for her birthday. Treat her to a day of fun like take her to the mall or the movies. Good luck!
