Most likely, with the way the world is going now, no they won't. Back in the 20's or so thicker women were considered attractive. Then the press started picturing smaller females in magazines and things and young women started to think they had to look like the females in the magazines. As long as we as Americans have to look like the people we see on TV no, we will never accept the plus size people again

It depends on what you mean by plus size. If you mean a girl with nice curves than yes. If you are talking about some one that is extremely obese, than not for a good while.

I think acceptance is within yourself! People will always be critical of something, but being heavy is a sin to alot of people that are insecure about themselves. That's my observation over the years that I have been heavy.

You have a real advantage when you're plus-size, as I see it--if you *are* accepted, you know they're accepting you *as* you, and appreciating you for the reasons everybody hopes to be appreciated, not just for how you look.

Anybody else? The heck with 'em, sez I...

Sure, just get the government to make an affirmative action category for them.

Just as it has done for blacks, gays, Vietnam veterans, handicapped, the old, and non-Christians

People and attitudes are becoming less accepting - take someone like Paris Hilton (and boy, is she someone who people should listen to!) who said: Fat people are gross and we would be better off without them . . . if I were fat I would rather be dead.

Nice gal, huh?
