Wear whatever you want. But most people stay in theirs as long as possible.

Unless you're having a very unique reception (a scuba party, maybe?), yes, wear your dress at the reception. Not only does it offer great photo ops, but considering how much money you probably paid for it, you'll probably want to get as much wear out of it as possible!

Usually the bride doesn't wear her veil at the reception. Some of them take off the headpiece, but if you have a pretty tiara or something, I'd leave it in. Remove any detachable trains and bustle anything that drapes on the floor.

You could wear pajamas to your reception if you want... it's your day, do what makes you happy... but how often do you get to dress like a princess? If it was okay, I would wear my wedding dress at home for housework and whatnot (kind of like that episode of friends where the girls all sat around in wedding dresses)

i did, but you dont have to. some people get like a party dress just for the reception if they dont want to wear the wedding dress. if your having a casual wedding or an out door wedding in the summer you may not want to wear the dress because it might be to hot or heavy. i know my dress was pretty heavy to lugg around all night and a b**ch to dance in. whatever you choose is great. you might want to get like a dress that matches somewhat to your bridesmaids or a dress in the colour of one of your wedding colours just for the reception.

Yes of course!! You spent the money and look your best. Cherish the moments and think about all the pictures people will be taking then. You would be silly not to in my opinion. Enjoy your special day and make it last as long as possible. I loved my dress and I wore it until the event was entirely over. :)

You can do whatever you are most comfortable doing. I wore mine because I loved it and hated to take it off because I knew I would never wear it again.
