Jack had a backpack full of stuff and it was heavy. As they were coming down the hill he lost momentum and tumbled down, striking his head on a rock. He died, Jill is fine, bless her heart.

Jack fell down the hill into the field and broke his crown and Jill just got injured slightly in the tumble .
It is not far from where humty dumpty died.

jack was poisoned because jill found out that jack had been frequenting the strip clubs and sleeping with the hookers outside, he gave jill gonorrhea, so she poisoned his pina colada and offered to take him backpacking so it would look as if he naturally died, and they all lived happily ever after!!
