Do you mean his wife? I'm sure she probably already knows.

I am sorry that your Uncle is on drugs, it is so hard to see a loved one ruining their life like that. Why do you have to be the one to tell everyone in your family about everyone else? Talk to your Uncle or Aunt's Sibling (hopefully one of your parents) about what to do. Maybe the news should come from someone they are closer in age to, unless you are the same age of your aunt and uncle. How are you finding all this stuff out about your family anyway? Good Luck.

Before you decide to just go tell her, you need to be sure that you have your facts straight. Leave no room for error on your part, as this might later blow up in your face, even though you are trying to do the right thing. Be 100% sure he is doing drugs, like you sat there and watched him. No "my friend told me" kind of things. Observe him for a few days prior to telling her in order to observe his "strange" behavior that always accompanies hidden drug use. Look for things like specific dates and times that he wasn't where he said he would be, lost money, or was "acting wierd". This may seem a bit extreme, but you are getting yourself into a situation where there is a person who is using drugs, and will be going on the defensive in order to save his relationship. He will attack you, she might attack you. You need to be sure that you are only stating facts, and not opinions. Be gentle when you approach her, but don't give too much of how you feel about the situation. Let her make her own conclusions. Just give her the facts.

As a collector for a drug testing company, I have seen this happen a lot. You want to do the right thing, but you need to think about your situation, and be prepared. Be prepared for one of them to try to pull you into the middle of the problem in order to avoid having to deal with it themselves. Get in and get out. Be straight forward, then step out of the situation, and let them figure it out.

Above all, be sure you are ready to open yourself up to this. It is a potentially explosive situation that you must be ready for before you do anything.

Good Luck!

Why do you "have' to tell you aunt? Is it your business somehow? You really should keep your nose out of their business. They are adults and can handle their own matters without the interference of others. It will backfire on you in the end if you snitch. Nobody likes a snitch.

Well, you can talk to your uncle about it first cause you care. Try and help the situation to see if anyone else should be brought in to it. I've had the same problem (with friends). If it fails, don't give up.

Why do you have to tell her - there must be an older relative who can do the job. You telling her might make her think you were doing them with him - or were at the same drug site that he was at.

she is his wife she knows don't bring up something you know nothing about, let your aunt find out on her own if she does not know, you will only bring misery to both of them! and they will both blame you, can you handle the whole family being mad at you! just try to act like nothing is wrong and be happy you still have a family!

Unfortunantely, there is no other way to tell your aunt. You have to tell her, but warn her in the beginning that the subject you are about to talk about is serious. That way, she's prepared to talk about something intense. You have to tell her.

It really doesnt matter how you tell her...just that you do. You never know, she may already be aware of this. Bottom line is, just show concern and express why you believe he is using.
