I heard my cousin say it about 15 years ago. Now I say it all the time. Nobody looks too surprised the first time I say it, so it must not be that unusual. Now when I say "Son of a motherless goat" they look at me funny.

Around the same time...maybe you THOUGHT you made it up, but was just unconciously repeating it...
I always heard it as "SON OF A BI-I-I-I-ISCUIT!"
