I think that GeoW is too chicken$hit to admit that it was wrong to go there in the first place (remember, they NEVER found any WMDs). So in order to "save face," Georgey won't pull out US troops anytime soon; it will have to wait until we get a REAL President in office for that to happen. Also, what a "coincidence" about the oil prices like they are whenever we get involved in Middle Eastern affairs (greedy SOBs!).

Well now imagine if, Israel is destroyed as a country & thru mass genocide, most Muslim countries are formed together into a pan-arab Islamic extremist state (theat's the singualr goal of al Quaeda as a springboard to world domination), and then with their combined military power & in secret partnership with their clone al quaeda, with internal purge for entic-religious "purification," then with their crap together they look at us pissed off about some percieved injustice?
Is there some scenerio where you think we don't have to be engaged in reshaping the mid-east. Iraq itself, and certainly this possible larger conflict, are a turning point in human history. You can't run home & put your head in the sand because you get popped in the mouth. You have to stay in there & fight for your survival. What would have happened if we'd said the Nazis were across the ocean in Europe & never attacked us, let the have their war while we go after the Japanese & it's not our business who wins way over there. We'd all be speaking German & ignoring death camps now if that were the case. When the evil of your time emerges & threatens the whole world you do have to have the fortitude to face it head on & never surrender. There's no getting out of Iraq or the mid-east until we win or there is no US left to fight. Anything else rewinds all the progress made since 9/11 & puts us in a worse position. I don't intend to surrender to people like bin Laden & neither should you.
"We have before us an ordeal of the most grievous kind. We have before us many, many long months of struggle and of suffering. You ask what is our policy? I will say: It is to wage war, by sea, land, and air with all our might and all our strength that God can give us; to wage war against a monstrous tyranny, never surpassed in the dark, lamentable catalogue of human crime. That is our policy. You ask, What is our aim? I answer in one word: Victory Victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory, however long and hard the road may be; for without victory, there is no survival." Winston Churchill

Leave the car parked. Turn the lights off. Turn the heating down and turn the air conditioning off.
That's what it will look like if we let terrorism try to wreck our economy. Clearly, they believed that they made a major blow at our economy when they attacked out major finance center at the World Trade Center. Nearly every brokerage was up and running, by the time the New York and American Stock Exchanges opened 3 days later. Some institutions were completely run in that building that disappeared on that horrific day. They were able to load their data elsewhere, and get back to business. We are very resilient.
Yes, I hope that our troops come home soon. Let's hope that we do not get involved in Kashmir, where Al Qaida has been doing their dirty work again. Do you think that Osama is there?

We won't pull out of Iraq until the oil is flowing and Bush's Big Oil buddies can make even more money. And Halliburton hasn't made enough yet either, so they need to make a few billion more first. Plus, Bush hasn't yet fulfilled his crusade to be a nation-builder, so the whole area could go up in flames and we'll still have troops on the ground in Iraq. Don't forget, Iraq is next door to Iran - Bush's next target. Wouldn't take much to move them across the border.

Well, the UN must be strong and bold to stop this war. It could only get worst. It should make into international law: Any two countries who hasn't learned to share over a decade and countinue to fight would lose their nationhood and be annexed by the UN. The UN should just go in there and take over. Disarm everyone. Don't allow weapons, manufacture of weapons. People in those countries have a right to peaceful livelihoods.

Why should we abandon the Iraqi people to the 'holy war' types?
Besides, there is nothing new going on over there.
