Wow more answers than I have time to read. I fall asleep in front of the tv a lot. It's usually exhaution and a few beers.
If I'm playing a video game I stay alert but if I'm on Yahoo answers I space out sometimes.

Honestly, you might have a brain function issue. You should consult with a neurologist. It might be a form of epilepsy that is triggered by watching the television waves, which are rapidly moving wavelengths. The doctor can prescribe medicine for you, or you might have to stop watching tv. If you're epileptic though, you have to surrender your driver's license. It's the law.

It could be a lot of things. If you always pass out when you watch TV it could be because of blood/gore or other graphic images or because of light patterns. Some light patterns trigger all kinds of things in people's minds so it's kind of normal but do get it checked out by a doctor because these symptoms may be treatable.

My moms needs the tv on to go to sleep - even if she is snoring, if someone turns the tv off, she wakes up. I need my jams to fall asleep.

i dont no but maybe u should see a doctor about that insead of asking people who probably spend most of their time around the TV anyway

soothing? I unno. I do know that I get really weird if im home alone and don't put on at lest one tv. I feel very starnge, like empty.

Because reality shows suck ***!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Down with unscripted situational dramas. Bring back real shows. I think It's always sunny in philadelphia is one of the most hilarious shows on tv.
