You could say something...
I have the same problem sometimes when people didn't grow up with parents that instructed them to chew with their mouth closed. It's really gross. But as a friend, I think you could gently tell your pal that what he/she is doing is off-putting.

Unless of course if they can't help it because of medical reasons(Really bad sinus, nose blockages...) Politely point out in a joking way the proper pizza eating techniques for real Italians and of course when in Rome (or in this case Italy) do as the Romans do. Good Luck have a good day but I wouldn't loose a good friend over a little spilled pizza if they don't get the point skip sharing meals that will get across.

Usually people that make horrible noises when they eat chew with there mouths open instead of closing it. Another problem could be sinuses as when you nose is blocked it is harder to breathe so when you eat on top of this , you will probably make strange noises whilst eating. Another theory is that your mate is winding up up just to get a reaction as they know that this irritates you

Chewing gum which include your mouth open might want to be outlawed. it is so disgusting, and some human beings look to savor making the most noise that they can. once you imagine about it, chewing gum is merely unusual - holding something on your mouth lengthy after any style has lengthy gone and then persevering with to bite on it and pulverize it. Yuk! and how about human beings eating popcorn in a movie theater. some human beings grab an complete handful and then cram it of their face as if their face is a timber chipper.

Deadpan, ask "are you in a hurry?"
Sit next to them and make all the same noises
Say "would you shut the f*** up?"
But best of all, do what Candid Camera did. Get a mic and a PA hooked up so that you pick up all their eating noises and amplify them 100 times.

Put ear plugs or sumthing in your ears to drown out the sound, if your friend asks what you are doing tell them you cant listen to them chewing no more, they might get the message then, without you havin a go.

tell him to try to stop making that noise, but if he doesn't stop, then go eat in a different room or else try and ignore it eventhough everyone knows that is hard when it is that annoying. or you could even try making really annoying sounds when you eat so he will now what it is like.

buck up gimpy! if a little chewing sound annoys you that bad, you need to take a nerve pill (zanax, prozac, paxil, smoke a doobie) or something... if thats bothering you, try going somewhere really shitty and then youll realize the chewing wasnt so bad...

Turn down the tv and ask "Whats that strange noise?"
When he/she stops and cant hear anything, ask him/her to start chewing again and point out that its them making the noise.
Then smack them in the mouth.
Hard.
