I have always felt weird praying to Jesus and have long wondered why i cant just pray to God, after all Jesus taught us how to pray and it was fully addressed to God.
Reading the story over and over (Luke) i have come to the conclusion that Jesus was a man, a very wise and inspired man WHO'S advises i still follow.
I believe in God and go to christian churches but i have never been baptised, however whenever i am asked the question; are you a christian? i am unsure how to answer

Don't ask me, I don't pray to God or Jesus. I'm just earning points.

Well, you can still go to heaven, even if you are not ever baptised. As long as you truly believe that God is real and Jesus died on the cross for you and try to live your life for God each day. It's difficult to answer the "Are You a Christian" question. It's either a yes or no to some. I just say yes and if somebody wants to go into details about it they can see a minister or something.

Say yes if you want to. Or just say that it's personal or somethin if you don't want to answer it. To be honest with you, I pray to God and Jesus. And I even pray to the Lord sometimes too. I don't know if Lord is God too or not, I think it is. But anyway, it doesn't really matter if you pray to God, Jesus or the Lord because the names all have power and you'll be heard.

Well, we do pray to God directly... because we pray to Jesus. Jesus was nothing less than God incarnate. So, when we pray to Jesus we are praying to God.
Jesus was a wise and inspired man... but He is also God. Not God the Father, but still God, and everything that involves.

You're right about being unsure if you're a Christian or not. The word "Christian" actually means "little Christ". It was originally a dirogatory term given to them during their persecution in the roman empire. So, taking the name of Christ, our goal in our faith is to live our lives as Christ would, and worhsipping Him as God.

Read 2 Peter, chapters 2 and 3. It addresses this issue. 1 John also addesses this. It addresses something referred to as Gnosticism, which was a growing heresy at the time which said exactly what you are saying, that Christ was not really fully God in human form, because everything that is flesh is inherently evil, so he couldn't have been.
The Bible addresses this issue very clearly that Jesus Christ was, as I said before, no less than God incarnate.
Read up on it... you might see it a different way... after all, the belief that Jesus was and is God is one of the foundational beliefs of Christianity. If you believe that he was not God, then your beliefs would actually follow with Judaism.

You can only look at Jesus three ways either he is Lord(God), a Liar, or a Lunitic
If he is Lord he is a great guy, who was God yet also man, God in the form of man.
Liar that would mean he isnt a good person or a wise person so why believe anything he says
Or Lunitic, so also why listen to a crazy person
Jesus is Lord, he loves you, he is God on this Earth. Sent as a rescue mission to save you from your sins.
So when you pray to Jesus you are praying to God.
God Bless:)+=

Maybe I can help I faced the same dilemma personally. I now answer that question in this manner. I explain that I live my live in the way the Christ taught to the best of my ability. I state that I walk the path left by Christ. To say that one is a Christian is to live their lives as Christ. Brings new meaning to "WWJD" What Would Jesus Do. If one lives truly in that manner asking that question and actually living by it. They would not be a part of today's society. They would not work or possess any wealth, they would spend their lives ministering to others giving away all they possess for it is of the world and according to Christ the world and worldly possession mean nothing. I unfortunately can not make that boast yet. But walk the path to it. I work I own my home i have two cars and money put away these things Christ did not teach. "Lay up no earthy wealth but build your palace in the kingdom of Heaven". Until such time as I am called and live as such I can not be called Christian. But I am with out a doubt a believer in the Father and Son, I walk the Path.

I was raised Baptist. I no longer follow the Baptist faith. I have read a lot of the Bible ( I will not lie and say all, it is a tough book to take all at once) I attended a Baptist University, but I do not profess to be a great spiritual leader. I know what I believe, and I believe there is a God, be this deity, male or female, and you have a direct line to this deity. Feel free to pray directly, and how feels comfortable for you. God isn't looking for people who adhere strictly to certain codes and rites, God is looking for sincerity and honesty. When people ask me if I am a Christian I tell them I am Spiritual, and Interdenominational, as in I take all faiths into consideration. I choose not to claim stakes in a particular one, as I have my own very specific beliefs as to who and what "God" is. I hope this has helped you.

I know the feeling man. I was raised Catholic, but now I just consider myself a Christian. I think most people go through this stage at least once in life. You just be what makes you happy. Believe in what you believe in and God knows your heart. Much love.
