On the wall there were cliffnotes of every world religion with a button under them. Also on the wall there was another button labled "none" On a table theres a note that says: In twenty four hours this room will fill with gas and you will die. The button you choose will determine your afterlife. What would you do ??........................ No scripture quoting please

Its a Hypothetical queston. That means what if?? The only memories you loose are the religious ones.

That is interesting question. The problem becomes what other memories do I have. (do I know I was a good person or a bad person? do I know how to read? can I read other languages (this one is important because certain tenants of faith include the ability to worship in a particular language) Do I have time to sit under a Bodhin tree (oops I guess not so I cant choose buddhism) well lets see I assume I have no memory of ANYTHING except how to read english. I start looking.
The Contemplative Religions are out because I do not have the time. The Wheel religions are out because if I am wrong it wont matter I will just be reborn anyway and get another chance. The religions that require Sacrifices are out because I have nothing to sacrifice. The ones that require rituals are out because I have nothing to do the rituals with. I guess that leaves the ONE that says "Just Trust me and accept my Love. signed Jesus."

Well with no memory of any religious theory for comparison purposes I'd have no clue what the meaning of afterlife is unless a dictionary were hanging around in the room. Given that I'd likely choose the None button.

Your question fails to take into account that we do have our memories. I'm afraid it is moot as we will all pick whatever we are now.

I choose Deism. There is a "God", but who are we to think we can understand it all. If you really have faith, you don't need a book or a prophet or a church.
