Okay I love Yahoo Answers as much as the next person but some the health questions people ask make me wonder. Like you think you are going to get a free diagnosis on Yahoo answers? Have you seen how stupid some of these people are. What kills me is the women that ask if they are pregnant (like some one on here will save you the price of a pregnancy test. Or women who ask if it is normal if they are bleeding (well maybe but why would you risk not going to the doctor). Then there are people that are jsut plan stupid like the lady today that asked if it was okay to swim if you are pregnant. If you have to ask then you shouldn't be procrating. It scares me that some of these people are responsible for human lives. At least call a hotline or something. Don't come to Yahoo answers expecting that we can tell you what is wrong with you. Anyone else amazed by this???

Yes I understand the ones were people want to know if something is normal. That's fine but there are some questions that the only answer is "go to the doctor".

I agree, some people ask some really strange questions that they should be talking to their doctor about. It is as if they have made up a condition to post for the fun of it. Surely they cant be serious if they are bleeding badly LOL

Just chill out and stop reading the health sections. You never know if there is a med-student, nurse, or even a doctor online. Plus, it doesn't hurt asking....maybe someone else has been through the same thing. I'm sure people do go to the doctor, but sometimes you can't get an appointment right away. Plus, it beats sitting in the waiting room for an hour! It's just a questions...don't make a big deal out of it!!!!

Some people ask those questions because they've never been through each situation before - and hope that other people have. My sister did get medical help on Yahoo Answers (nothing about pregnancy or bleeding), and the answers were all pretty much the same. When she saw the doctor, he told her exactly what the people here said.

Most of the answers are to go to a doctor anyways so i see no point in banning it. I actually have been able to get very good ideas of what ails people when it comes to the mental health section since ive read up on those before. Sometimes people dont know they are that bad or sometimes they overreact and need calming down or support.

I think people just want to hear others opinions and experiences. I have asked some questions knowing I will be going to a professional anyway. It just was interesting to see other people's answers.
