You DO have freedom of religion, but so do your parents. They can't force you to have their religion, but if you are living in their house, they certainly have the right to prohibit objects and practices they are opposed to within that property. Go somewhere else to practice your religion, and have friends hold onto your books, wands, etc. for you.

The first Amendment applies to the government, not to your parents.

You are only 15, do you even understand what being a wiccan means?!? Your parents are right to hate it. I was into that when I was a bit older than you. I was 18 and I was so miserable at the time. JESUS is the only way! Stop that crap you are into. You are not 18 and are still under your parents' roof, so you must do as they say. You have a right to believe what you want, but until you are of age, you must listen to them. They know what is best for you. Also, it is their home so if they don't like that junk in the house, they can do what they want with it. I had a Ouija board when I was your age and my mom was upset about it, so I took it to my friend's house and kept it there till weird crap was going on and we got rid of it. I hope you don't mess with things like that. Take care!

My my my...sounds like you are in a tough position. If you are from my country (America), you certainly do have religious freedom. That's a constitutional freedom. However, in practice, parents are generally free to teach their children whatever they wish, and to ban them from anything also. It would make an interesting legal battle...

But your best bet is to talk with them and try to help them to understand. There are many misconceptions of Wicca--perhaps they belief one or more of those. If worst comes to worst, you can do whatever you want when you turn 18. Oh, and I doubt very much your parents would be pursuaded by legal arguments. In my experience, parents don't believe in a child's freedom until they turn 18.

Honstly, by law we all have freedom of religion but becuse your a minor who lives with her parents, you sorta dont. Im all for the believe what you wanna believe, but if your parents are taking care of you then you kinda have to abid by thier rules. Now if you like me and you pay for your own stuff and help out then be my guest. Oh and anything you buy with your money is yours. Next time they break or burn something that they didnt give you, talk to your police department and see what you can do. It wasnt thiers to break or burn. Hope this helped.

Basically, the law views children as incompetent to make important decisions about their lives and unable to take care of themselves.
When they are 18, they are considered adults and capable of making those decisions.
