I have to have a drug test done for a job in two days. I had taken some pain medicine called vicotin for cramping last week. Does anyone know if this will be out of my system by then?

I didnt have a prescription for it and got it from a friend. I drink plenty of fluids and just wanted to make sure it would be cleared out of a urine test.

I only took two of them. That was last weekend.

It all depends on how much you took. If you didn't take much, then it will be out of your system by then. If this medication is prescribed to you, then you have nothing to worry about. When you have the test done they will ask you what medications both prescription and nonprescription you have taken so be sure to let them know.

Pain killers stay in your system for about 3-4 days. (depending on how much you take). my dad takes 15 Percocet a day and had a drug test-he drank lots of water and tried to take something from the GNC to cover up the narcotics in his system, but, failed it. He takes too many though. Doesn't sound like you took too much so it should be ok 3 days later.

it takes about 4 days for vicodin to get out of your system and yes it will fail your drug test because its an opiate so unless you have a perscription your screwed

BEFORE YOU TAKE THE TEST THEY SHOULD ASK iF YOU HAD TAKEN ANYTHiNG iN THE PAST WEEK TO MONTH. JUST TELL THEM && YOU SHOULD HAVE NO PROBLEMS, && i DO BELiEVE THAT PAiN MEDiCATiON SHOULD BE OUT WiTHiN A WEEK OF TAKiNG iT. OF COURSE, DEPENDiNG ON THE AMOUNT! GOOD LUCK!

If it was your own Rx then there's no problem. But otherwise it takes a week or so. Drink lots of water.

Just put it down on the list (assuming you had a prescription for it) and they will ignore it on the results.
