Exactly what engineer said. I think though that its hard to know if a long distance relationship would work when you have never met. If your talking about seeing each other and then being apart if you trust each other and are committed to each other I think it could work but only you know if its worth the hassle. I had a LD relationship while dating and it sucked because he could go 3wks without even calling and then return and still not care if he seen me. Stupid me ended up marrying him and wondered why I was neglected after marriage. Okay I am ranting back to question if you really want to be with this person and keep in touch on a regular basis with each other and don't feel like your missing out and some day it won't be long distance I think its worth it.

I think long distance relationship can work to a point. However, which you and that person are on a serious level than I think they should seat down and see which one and move to be closer. That's what I did in my relationship and we feel like it was worth it.

Suppose how far it is makes a difference, you both have to be committed and make the effort to see each other as regular as possible, plenty of communication helps as well,
My wife lived 110 miles from me but we saw each other nearly every weekend for 3 years before she moved in with me. we've been together 7 years and married for nearly a year so don't listen to all the others telling you not to bother, it's not easy but worth it! See how it goes.

That's something very sweet but what could bother you in a longer run. If the person is right for you and you share something really deep and profound - it's worth it. It's important to realize it in time, otherwise one might have a feeling of wasting great amount of time..

Not if you have the right person...wrong person and short distance relationship could be a real pain ...for the right person..distances should not matter.

depends on what you want from it hun, if you are just wanting a bit of fun then pointless , if you are both serious about each other then it will work hun. but you both have to be committed to the relationship.
