Tell him that God wants him to be an atheist. He will then defy God and stop being one!

I don't know how true it is but I have been studying all forms of belief and there are many who when facing death try to find religion. Pray for him and try to be understanding and if he feels the need to change try and be there for him. I do not know if he will convince God or not but it is the best you can do. But one thing is if he is a true Atheist pushing him will only make him move further from God.
I will keep you in my prayers - best of luck

The truth is that it's not as much about belief as it is about choice. If your Grandpa knows about sin, forgiveness, the love of God and chooses to go in a different direction, you cannot change him, and what he really needs is not so much to change, but to surrender--you can't do that for him either. Just love your Grandpa, pray for him, and be the kind of person that God calls you to be.

Leave him alone! How do you know he's going to hell? How can you be so presumptuous to think that you know how God is going to treat him when he gets there? How do you know that there isn't some kind of conversion after death? You don't; none of us do because we haven't been. The Bible helps us to know God through Jesus, but how do you know that God doesn't do things that he didn't tell his writers to include?

Respect your elders and keep your nose out of his business. He is a lot older than you and has more experience of life than you. Instead of trying to prove that you might know better than a man of his years, why don't you let him spend his final years in peace and the knowledge that his life's experiences have given him.

Check out Deism. He doesn't have to believe in all the man made BS of organized religions to believe in God. It is a great alternative.

Leave him alone. It's irresponsible, rude, and quite possible immoral to attempt to convert someone in that manner. If you've explained your beliefs to him, and he disagrees, you need to leave it at that. Otherwise, you'll just end up insulting a family member that you love.

love him. Be there for him. listen to him when he wants to talk and just pray for him. More things are wrought by prayer than this world can imagine. I know you are concerned for him but sometimes it is better to just be a "silent witness" to what you have found. But love him. Don't judge him. No one died and left us in charge of judgement.

God loves him and will forgive him. Do not worry. Your grandfather will see the truth and believe it, when it's time.

You cannot change him hon. Sorry.

You can't force someone to believe in God when they are so close-hearted about it.
