For math theorems you have "proofs". For scientific theories you have "preponderance of evidence". You can't "prove" evolution or the big bang theory, you can only demonstrate that a preponderance of evidence make these the most logical explanations for the observed facts. Some scientific theories or even laws (like Newton's laws of motion) have been shown to be incomplete explanations as new evidence was discovered. Scientific discovery requires an openness to recognizing that today's "truth" may be outdated by tomorrow's discoveries. I am not by any means disavowing the realty of the evolutionary process or the possibility that the big bang theory may describe how the universe began. My concept of God is not negated by either of those concepts. I am just cautioning you not to be dogmatic in embracing any particular scientific concept as the ultimate explanation of anything. When you do that, you are as narrow-minded as the theists you are condemning.

I happen to believe that there is enough that is known to say it is a good possability that some of it is correct... But it is a THEORY... not fact.
