My guess is that you have hypotension. It is exactly the opposite of hypertension. It is where your blood pressure is too low instead of too high which means that blood does not get to your head quickly enough. That is why, if you stand up too quickly you may feel dissy or faint. To help, just train urself to get up slower and stand firmly for a second without moving as soon as you stand. Your problem should then go away. That is if you eat normally. If you eat less than you should, it is because your brain lacks certain nutrients that you need. I would then suggest eating more. Otherwise just follow the hypotension advice and you'll be fine. If you do faint, it is no big deal, as long as you don't hit anything on your way down. Fainting is your body's natural way of getting you in a position where it it easier to pump blood to your head. If you faint you will probably regain consciousness quickly as soon as your blood has been circulated to the places that lacked oxygen. It would only take about 2 min. tops to recover.

Sounds like what is called orthostatic hypotension. What happens is that for some reason, the normal compensatory mechanism that keeps the blood pressure in your upper body stable when you stand up is not working. Thus, when you stand up, the pressure falls below what you need to maintain normal consciousness and you get light headed and dizzy until the pressure catches up. You can see this in fluid depleted states and in anemia.
If this is happening with any regularity, then you need to be checked out by your regular doctor.

Blood isn't getting to your head. It could be low blood pressure - that's why it happens to me anyway. Talk to your doctor.

You have dangerously low blood pressure. This IS NOT something to fool around with. SEE YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY.
