Yes. Because of the large number of illegal immigrants in the USA becoming more and more defiant of our laws and expecting amnesty the Americans citizens are fighting the Senate proposal to offer them amnesty and we want our current immigration laws tightened.

yes, i would say so. however, you also need to keep in mind that these immigrants came here for a reason, and for them to take this big of a risk means that life in ur native country must be extremely bad. many are willing to stay hidden here and still pay their taxes and be good residents who follow the laws. then you have those who have lived here for years and built their family here...and it wouldn'tbe fair to deport them all back, because in the long run, they do contribute to society. yes,they are a large part of the underground economy, but you can't just make assumptions and say that they're all criminals just because they were desperate enough to break the law to hope for a better life. many of them do not get the life they hoped for here in the US and are being exploited by legal businesses here.
