well I hope that you would be in a clean hotel that you wouldn't have to stress over sitting on the seat. Sit!

No matter if its clean or not, don't ever sit always squat. Not just in hotels, but schools, restaurants, any public place. Because even though they looked clean there not.

if it is a hotel you could always use your own disinfectant on it as soon as you get there
Asian toilets you will squat anyway

If you are in a decent hotel you will be fine to sit. If your not in a decent hotel, get out.

You have a choice - wipe it down with some Lysol yourself or trust that the housekeeper did her job. Good luck.
