An office visit can range from $25-$50. Then the prices go from there. It depends on what you are needing. There are clinics that give a free first exam. You really need to call around to some and get an idea of the office visit cost, vaccine costs, if there is a difference between a well visit and a sick visit, and what an emergency visit could cost. Then you can go from there. Cats are usually cheaper than dogs, if they are inside cats!!!!!! You can also ask how much a spay/neuter is.

It depends on what you go for. If you're concerned about vet costs, then do some online research and make some calls for comparsons of shots and spay/neuter surgery. If you keep your kitty inside and safe with good, healthy premium cat food, you won't have to do much else for many years. Just shots. You can also get pet insurance that will help cover costs if your cat is currently in optimum health. Where you live and what you need the vet to do creates a wide variable of costs, so you just have to do the research to find out. But, the bottom line is, once you adopt the furbabies, you have to do whatever they need regardless of the cost!

It depends on what type of procedures you're having done. Vaccinations? Spaying/neutering? De-worming? A general check-up? Call up your vet and get a complete price list of what you want done, including the cost of the office visit. Sometimes there are hidden costs you aren't aware of and find out about them also. Sometimes vets automatically give vaccinations to new patients without realizing the cat has had its shots. Avoid that cost of getting the shots twice. You can also try your local animal shelter and see if they can recommend someone. Usually they use the same vets and can recommend good ones.

The basics... annual exam, vax & flea med cost me about $200 a year. Teeth cleaning is another $200, bathing/grooming once every 3 months is $50. My cat got injured in a car accident and that cost me $7000 over a 9 month period.
Most vets offer pet insurance now... I think it is about $150 per policy term for cats. You can contact your local vet for costs & options.
