Go to volunteermatch.com and they can usually "match" you with a good volunteer program for your age and your local area.

Check with your local animal shelter. My daughter and I used to help out our local shelter by helping the dogs get adopted at Petsmart. As long as you're there with your child, it shouldn't be a problem.

check with your local animal shelter. Also, go to petfinder.com and see what animal rescue groups are in your area. Contact some of the groups by email and see what type of volunteers they are looking for.

I'm from NC and here you have to be at least 16 to volunteer at a shelter. I admire that you want to volunteer to help, keep it up!
