Whole grain anything is better for you than regular. Whole grain takes more calories to digest and it's nutrients are easier to absorb.

The difference is the way your body uses the ingredients . Your body burns calories from digesting foods. You use more energy for burning off the white flours, leaving you hungry and feeling deprived. By eating more whole grains you will be burning less calories and in turn needing to eat less calories daily. If you really want a good pasta I recommend Barrilla Plus, in the yellow box. It has Omega 3 (normally found in dark leafy greens and fish) which is good for your brain, eyes and heart. It tends to cook to the perfect tenderness of eldante. I have enjoyed it.

the difference is they probably blanched the whole grain to remove some of the flavor, so whatever they used to do that might still be in the noodles. They do it because not everyone likes the taste of whole grain.

well i am not sure abt the difference but there r two kinds of calories..good cal and bad cal... so its possible tht whole grain n regular noodles might ve same amount of cals but whole grain has good cals. whole grain definitley has more fiber... while other while noodles can be constipating. as they say: all the white stuff is not good for health. go for brown stuff girl!

The whole grain ones are just probably easier on your constitution. I like original noodles best. Noodles rock!

Whole grain is better than regular because of fiber. Also has antioxidants among other phytochemicals which might help reduce the risk of heart disease.

I guess nutritionists are pushing the whole grain thing, but, I didn't notice one tasting better than the other.

Apparently they have more fiber, which means fewer NET carbs. This doesn't neccesarily mean fewer total carbs, but carb counter subtract out fiber carbs (because you don't digest them, you poop 'em out).
That's the story of the carb counting people.
I don't know if I buy it.
