The only clear reason why Israel is in that miss is the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian land . if Israel implement the UN 242 resolution in full there will be an end to the on going wars in the Middle East. Israel up to this day will not tell the world and the Palestinian that it will withdraws from all the land mentioned in UN Resolution. Israel want to keep land that was never part of Israel and this is why Israel will never have a lasting peace with native Palestinian people .
End occupation

Okay so this is what Obama Care does and addresses. So let's say your'e not insured and you get badly hurt. Because your uninsured you have to go to the emergency room and costs could be $35,000 which is crazy. Now usually uninsured people are poor so they can't afford that and the hospital has to pay for it. So Hospitals charge everyone else more so they can pay for these incidents. So to deal with this Obama forced people to get Insurance so they can go see a doctor before an emergency. But that also doesn't come cheap it might cost $600 dollars a month depending who you are it might even reach $1,000. Second thing it does let's say your uninsured and get cancer no Insurance company will want you because you cost way to much to take care of and now the Law says Insurance companies can not do that anymore but the money taking care of these people come from somewhere and that's going to raise the cost for some people even more !!! Third thing it does is Insurance exchange so let's say you don't have Insurance and are looking for one before it would be difficult to compare what was best for you going to so many sites so now it put's everything on one site making it easy to compare what's best for you but lately Obama Care's website has been retarded. Fourth thing it does is Subsidies which basically is the government will help pay that $1000 dollars per month you got there that you can't afford which could lower it to $600 to $700 dollars a month which is still pretty high but you will probably get better services for what you wanted.

Impossible to answer quickly and simply as this goes back over many centuries. The current 'spat' is over some Isreali soldier kidnappings. A terrorist organization, Hezbullah, kidnapped an Isreali soldier (in Isreal) using Lebanon as a base of operations. Isreal, is retaliation, took out key transportation items (airport, bridges, highways) to prevent them from moving the kidnapped soldier. Hezbullah claims to have kidnapped the soldier to broker a prisoner exchange with Isreal. Isreal will no bargain with terrorists and conitnues the assault. Hezbullah continues to fire rockets into southern Isreal. This will continue unless, the soldier is returned, the soldier is confirmed dead (then the Isrealis will probably destroy half of Lebanon as retaliation), or the shoot each other up for a couple of weeks and trade a couple of prisoners (Hezbullah is looking for the release of possibly hundreds of prisoners for the soldiers).

After WWII, the allies (America, Britain, France, Russia) felt it would be politically better if they gave Jews their own country after what Hitler did to them and not one of the allies stepped in to help. So they gave them the land they had in the Bible, what we know now as Israel. But at the time Palestinians were living on that land.

Of course, the Palestinians weren't happy and the more extremist among them attacked the Israelis to get their land back, blaming Israel for having lost the land. The Israelis, feeling that the land was given them and that they had not taken it, felt that they were only defending themselves from the crazy Palestinians. So this is a fight between two peoples believing they are defending themselves.

During the various skirmishes and wars between the two, Arabs usually stepped in on Palestinians side. But no matter what the Arabs did, they'd always lose; and in the process lose land and their people as prisoners. Now the extremist Palestinians are trying again to get the land and those prisoners back, and tried to do it by kidnapping the Israeli soldier Gihad Shalit. Their plan was to trade him back to get a whole bunch of prisoners back. But Israel, fearing that if the Palestinians got that trade, they would kidnap another soldier to get more prisoners in another trade. So they say no to this one to prevent that, but they still want their soldier back, so they attacked. Now Lebanon extremists want to join to kill Israel and so they joined the Palestinian extremists (not all Lebanese and Palestinians are terrorists or extremists, just the ones who are kidnapping and fighting right now). Israel is of course defending herself and trying to get the soldier back.

Unfortunately, to do that they have to attack the extremists, and those extremists are hiding among the civilians of their respective countries. So when Israel attacks they are killing many civilians as well, which is making them look bad. But they still have to do it or they will be attacked and cannot retaliate, which only increases the attacks. Which leaves Israel and Mahmoud Abbas (the Palestinian prime minister and one of the ones who are wanting peace) in a very bad situation. Israel must continue killing civilians, but each civilian killed is more anger among the arabs and more support for the terrorists in Palestine. And with each death Abbas loses support as a "collaborator" with Israel.

Because the arabs want to wipe the Israelis off the face of the earth and the Israelis keep fighting back and winning every time.
And to Neddie you should go back to your histryoy teacher and tell him that he did a poor job of teaching history to you. The palistinians have been killing the Jewish people since 1942! The Jewish people did NOT attack them first. Also throughout history there has NEVER been a country called palistine!

There a tiny piece of real estate that two peoples want. It's called Israel-Palestine

No one is willing to share it, and even when they do there's always some thug in their extended family there to mess things up. That's what Hezbollah is doing right now.

it really isn't easy as the subject matter is so complex but there is a clear and concise and quick history of israel/palestine conflict at

http://www.guardian.co.uk/flash/0,,720353,00.html

these situations can only really be understood in a historical context. any answer you get on here is likely to be skewed towards israel or the arab nations whereas the british press is noted for its impartiality its a difficult subject but both fascinating and heartbreaking
