That's a good question for the internet in general. Some of them think they are being "cool" by using those shortcuts, others think you're supposed to type that way, and the rest shouldn't be allowed to sit in front of a keyboard at all since they don't know how to use it.

I think some people just don't care. They're either joking around on here or quickly asking a question they want answered. Its not really a big deal if people know what you mean.
