I heard that when children pick their nose it help them health wise. Their body reacts in a way to protect them from getting anything . It builds up immunities.

Although I am not sure if any extensive research has been done on nose picking, it does seem intuitive that the microorganisms that exist on one's finger may be transferred to the nasal mucosa (moist lining inside the nose) during the act of picking one's nose. This small dose of germs may be just enough for the body's immune system to react and create antibodies to these germs. These antibodies may protect the nose-picker from a second, possibly larger exposure to those germs (which may occur when one plays in the dirt, drinks from other people's cups, or uses a public restroom without washing one's hands).

ummm.. the boogers help us immunity wise.... we pick our nose because we feel like theres an obstruction.. so of course we have to clear it!
