Mangosteen Juice...just another juice (to the above post)

the only way to rid hcv is through antiviral chemotherapy if your not one of the lucky 15% of the HCV community who can fight it off yourself.

as for juices, tonics, herbal remedies, flushing and the like, that is just wasting your money as it literally goes down the drain..not only that they can be dangerous since with HCV comes along with it- bidirectional diseases that affect other organs.

there are two studies going on regarding herbs and so far, no cures to date using the protocol....

milk thistle is one however, that will lesson the burden on the liver which in turn helps the liver filter waste products. some say they are cured with this because their alt and ast levels are lowered, but with hcv alone, this can happen as a natural occurance of the diseases way it attacks the system.

many of us heppers have tried everything out of fear of trying the antiviral chemotherapy.

eat right...no or little sodium, no iron.....lots of clear liquids, water- and...if you can drink caffiene, that also helps. (some whose livers are damaged by hcv cannot proccess the caffiene and end up with some very scary panic attacks like myself)

However...I can now drink caffiene again because my liver damage was cut in half and reduced by antiviral chemotherapy.

Get to working on your doctor about a trial on antiviral chemo if you can't afford it or your insurance wont cover it. It's not too late!

Yeah. I was married to someone who was diagnosed with Hep c. He was an IV drug user in the early 70's, so he had it for a long long time. I have also taken care of a lot of people with Hepatitis C. These older ladies come to the hospital with a history of a blood transfusion in 1960 during a hysterectomy or childbirth and end up getting transfused with hepatitis c tainted blood. A lot of people are out there carrying the virus and have no idea they have it.
Go see a gastroenterologist and he will probably tell you that you need a liver biopsy to see how far progressed it is, then they order some very expensive drugs to help you combat the virus.
Just curious. how did you get infected? The GI doctor who treated my husband said their was a 1% chance of getting it thru intercourse. It is passed from person to person mostly thru blood or iv sticks

considering your brother isn't commited to getting properly, i imagine a transplant will be out of the question. If someone is a drinker, transplant centers received't even evaluate him till he has a minimum of 6 months of shown sobriety. you quite ought to settle on it and persist with strict orders from medical doctors concerning habit, eating regimen, meds, and so on. He has too many stuff adverse to him to get a transplant. Having Hep C, cirrhosis, and a ingesting problem is a deadly blend. it is all a remember of time. How a lot time relies upon on how a lot damage is done to the liver. some end signs and indicators is enormous ascites (fluid in his abdomen), bleeding internally, jaundice, confusion (with hallucinations now and again), extreme dropping of muscle, to call some. it isn't any longer an basic thanks to bypass. anticipate distinctive medical institution visits contained in the destiny. utilising that semi will connect the previous once he receives undesirable adequate. he receives too ill tocontinual. i do not propose to be so blunt, yet pick to allow you type of get prepared. ingesting alcohol will only shorten his existence better. Everytime he takes a drink, it truly is poison to his already damaged organ. it ought to only take a lot. he also receives to the point the position he will be so ill that he can no longer drink. by technique of then, it's going to be too late for help. Your top once you're saying it doesn't look good. your household needs to get prepared for the worst.
