Interceptor aircraft are used to gain air superiority (control a designated air space) by engaging and destroying any airborne threats (enemy aircraft or in some cases enemy missiles). Tactical aircraft are used for CAS (close air support), ground attack, SEAD (suppression of enemy air defenses). This aircraft have limited air-to-air capabilities too. Finally the aircraft in design today will be designed with multi-mission capability.

I'm not entirely sure. But I believe that and interceptor is a fighter with a huge amount of speed over other craft because it has to intercept enemy fighters before they get into a certain range, usually a range where the enemy fighter can destroy one of our targets. But the interceptor is limited in the kind of ordinance it can carry.
A tactical fighter is one that should have more maneuverability because it is going to be fighting in close range where speed isn't as necessary but turning to catch bombers may be needed. Tactical fighters also may be able to carry bombs themselves if there are no bombers available or more speed is necessary over endurance and strength when bombing a target. If I understand what you mean by tactical fighter correctly.

I think an interceptor is used for fighting air to air and tactical fighter has that ability but can also drop bombs as well. Nice picture.

An interceptor is designed, like its name says, to intercept aircraft that intrude the airspace. Tactical fighters are probably used to defend an area and stuff like that.
Just a hunch....

an Interceptor is made to catch and engage other aircraft in air combat by using air to air missiles or heavy machine guns ... A Tactical fighter has a more ground attack roll. (In other words it can drop bombs or fire air to ground missiles or other ordinance.) but has some air to air defenses as well.
