I am leaving on a 4 day cruise with my dad and 8 year old daughter sunday from port canaveral, florida to the bahammas in freeport and then to nassau...is the water expected to be rocky?? i get very motion sickness and will be taking bonine...how effective is that?

Yes, your destination is NICE. I would try some ginger also. Even ginger cookies help. Take the Bonine when you go to bed the night before the cruise and then again in the morning when you board the ship. Have some ginger cookies and ginger ale on hand and you should be just fine. There is also a drink called Smooth Sailing (ginger drink) and helps. They might even offer that on the ship. Have fun on your vacation!

I just went on a 4 day cruise to Cococay and Nassau. It was wonderful! It depends on the size of the ship, etc. And if it is storming, etc. There is medicine just for motion sickness that is pretty effective. I think you'll be okay.

My parents have just returned from a cruise and their advice would be to go straight to the medical bay the moment you arrive on the ship as they have much more effective medication for travel sickness. They went with friends who took their own store-bought remedies that proved useless.

You could help things though by having a light meal before leaving and trying some ginger tea/beer to settle your stomach.

Nassau is just beautiful i went there when i was 18 and it was the best birthday present that i ever got

i hear thay are both nice i have only seen pics. and who knows how the water will be. noone can predict that cause it can change in an instant but i would make sure on the news and stuff to chaeck it go to the weatherchannel.com and cheack it out and make sure there are not gonna be no storms hitting also
