FIND MISSING .DLL FILES ON THE INTERNET

The letters/extension dll stand for dynamic link to library. These files contain codes that are used by several programs; to save space, the common code in each program is kept in a single file. The programs access the code when they need it.

If the .dll file is missing from an application, reinstall the program.

If the missing file is from Windows, the file may have been accidentally deleted or corrupted (then you get the Windows message, “Couldn’t find XXX.dll”).

Rather than reinstalling Windows (a hassle), go to a Web site that offer .dll downloads and track down another copy. Here are two such sites:
http://www.dll-files.com/
http://www.dlldump.com/

You are facing the kind of problem sometimes referred to as DLL-Hell. What you can do is try googling the name of the DLL (if you know it) along with brief mention of ur problem, say like:

BLAH-BLAH dll DVD play

something like that or go to the DVD manufacturer's web-site and see if you need to install updated drivers for the DVD drive.

Hope this helps and good luck!

If the file is located on your hard disk, try the system restore feature of Windows. Go to star menu>all programs>accessories>system tool > system restore. There select the date before this event & do the rest... .
