Sounds fabulous to me! The weather in Vegas should be mild, it's not a high demand time for flower or photographers, nor is it the height of vacation season. And since it's not the traditional "wedding season," you might be able to get some discounts.

I think that sounds good. Search for the Farmer's Almanac on the internet and see what the weather was like in Vegas last year around that date. I did that because I live in Florida and had an outdoor wedding and I didn't want to get rained on.

If you've already set the date then it seems to me you're kind of stuck! I'm sure October in Vegas will be great temperature wise though, not too hot and not to cold either. I'm sure you will be fine! Congrats and good luck!
A good website for when the date gets closer is weatherchannel.com they can give you a wedding day forcast roughly ten days out.

In October, it won't be as hot as one of the summer months, but it still has the chance to be kinda toasty. Personally, I want a winter wedding. The last thing I want to be worried about is my makeup running because it's too hot, or if my dress is sticking to me, or that wonderful sweat sheen that appears much worse in pictures. You should get married when you feel comfortable with it....if October 28 works best for you--then go for it! :) Congratulations, by the way!

October is a great time, of season for hotels, nice weather in most places. People can be comfortable, and long enough away from summer people are looking for a get away weekend.
Mine is October 31st, 2008. So I think you have a perfect date.

June is known as the month of brides ; but in Las Vegas, every day is a "best" time .
