I am ok with my current weight and size, but I just want to lose this little bulge. I don't want to do a bunch of running because then I will lose too much weight in the areas that I don't want to lose weight in. I am diabetic and I think the insulin shots contribute to this. I need something to offset this. :( What can I do?
Additional question:
I thought sit-ups sort of made the stomach kind-of big... So you all are saying stomach exercises will totally get my stomach flat and hard? (I know along with a lil exercising)

When you first start seriously doing sit-ups your stomach could get a little bigger at first, then it will come back down. It doesn't happen to everyone. Why don't you just walk don't run. Walking is just as good for you, and will just keep you fit.

i am trying to lose weight too. i am also not fat and just want to get rid of a little stomach fat... what i have been doing is eating breakfast every day because it speeds up Ur metabolism. i don't have a big breakfast just like a chewy bar or something like that. then for lunch i have something really small like cheese and crackers or a bowl of low fat cereal. then for dinner i usually have what my parents are making. but sometimes i say I'm not hungry and make myself a fruit Salad and mabey a few peices of ham.,.. i am also trying to excersize alot. when i wake up in the moning i do 100 crunches and 100 sit ups. then i do this one thing i learned from a magazine where u touch your right hand to your left foot and do that ten times and then touch your left hand to your right foot ten times. it works your abs and legs. i know you think ab exersize don't help, but that is because you can't just do ab exersizes, you have to do a cardio work out as well. you probaly have the muscle in your stomach but you have to lose some fat to see it. what i do for a cardio work out is i go on the trampoine for about 45 minutes a day...if you don't have one i would try jump rope or jumping jacks. then i dance for about 30 minutes a day. i have just started this 5 days ago and i am already starting to see results.. so give it a try!!!!

Homeopathic Treatment for Excessive Fat and Weight :-
PHYTOLACCA BERRY's Mother Tincture is perhaps the safest and sure fire way of loosing excessive fat around abdomen. With Phytolacca Berry once you loose the excessive fat and weight you don't get it back because you body takes care of itself after that and keeps you from gathering up excessive fat. It is prescribed after having a baby too, to get the tummy to loose its flab and to make it flatter and tighter. And after loosing weight with this you don't get flabby it tightens up the flab and skin along with helping your body to shed the excessive accumulation of fat around the girth
The dosage is 15 to 20 drops of the tincture in half a cup of hot water thrice a day half hour before or after meals.
Avoid Chocolates, Coffee, Mints, Red Meat and Carbonated and Alcoholic drinks while taking Homeopathic Medicines. You have to take it for at least 30 to 45 days after that you start to feel the results.
To the best of my knowledge its the safest and the most sure fire way of loosing fat and weight and keeping it of for keeps. Excellent remedy for Obese people who cant seem to shed weight despite trying.
Homeopathic Remedies can be found at all Major Herbal Stores or could be bought on line, In most of the world Homeopathic remedies are quite cheap and easy to find and they do not need a prescription.
Take care and God Bless !

Read the recommendations below. Also, go to the book store and locate the book "Weight Training for Dummies". In chapter 15 you will find excellent information on how to perform abdominal exercises correctly. Page 218 of the book dispels all the myths surrounding abdominal training.

The following healthy living recommendations will help you if you’re trying to lose weight, tone up your muscles, have aspirations of building lean muscle mass, are attempting to get a wash board stomach, or just want to feel better:

Avoid “High Glycemic Load Carbs” (sugar, pastries, desserts, refined starches such as breads, pasta, refined grains like white rice; high starch vegetables such as potatoes) and drink lots of water. Read this article for more information on high GL Carbs:

Exercise and posture.Sorry, I also wanted to reply to janette, your grandma has something there because you are using your back and stomach muscles to hold yourself sitting up straight which in turn will strengthen the muscles, burning fat and toning them.
