oh gosh-- i'm in your exact situation-- or i used to be @ least. she lives in new york and i live in the middle of nowhere. :\ to be honest, there's not much you CAN do to make yourself stop bawling other than calling and emailing her and IMing her and all. go through old photos and stuff and think about all the inside jokes you guys have and stuff. she's still alive and she's still your cousin so don't cry too much-- because you'll see her again soon. put your energy into other things like hanging out with your other friends and stuff. you'll be okay-- i promise. it'll definitely get better. i hope this helped you kiddo.

Of course you miss your cousin. That doesn't mean you should just ignore it. I have an elementary school friend I miss and think about a lot, but I get on with life. (Sure hope she comes to family reunions, though.

Why don't you talk to someonelse. You should express your feelings to your closest ones. Make a friend and tell her about it. It will make you feel better trust me. But you won't ever forget about her. It's obvious. Don't try to forget because you won't. Just talk to someone.

it appears like you nevertheless have time to make it to the reception. slap on a gown and stress NOW! tell her how sorry you've been for lacking the marriage and be extra extra valuable on the reception.

You should find another friend to occupy your time in which you are not doing other things.
