Please don't risk it. My doctor adviced me not to do it during all of the pregnancy. In addtion to the hot tub, recommended that I don't take a bath, but rather a shower, to avoid possible infections, and also as a risk for slipping.

Here is what my baby looked like on life support. Its not pretty. Don't risk it hun: http://www.jpegwizard.com/view.asp?File=519200623425AM9767

Well, I've heard being in hot water (like in a hot tub or very hot bath) is like the baby feeling like it has a fever, but can't escape.

Especially being in the first trimester, I wouldn't risk a miscarriage just for a few minutes of feeling good in a hot tub.

You should try to avoid things like hot tubs and saunas all together during pregnancy. It may not be much fun, but at least you will have your little blessing! Take care.

Seiroulsy I think so much is okay during your first month of pregnancy - I know a lot of girls that didnt even know they were preg until 3 months and they had done all sorts of things. I guess its just better to be responisble but for this question I would recommend you actually talk to your treating physician.

It is not reccomended. The high heat of the hot tub can cause you to abort the baby.

My doc told me that even a very hot bath would be a bad idea. Don't chance the health of your baby.

I think you should drink plenty of cold water and get out every now and again. Also, if you could keep the temp about 99 degrees that would be perfect.

Dont take any chances. You can wait 9 months for the sake of your babys health, can't you. If you have to ask, then its probably something you should do.

I don't think it is safe during your entire pregnancy - if I were you I would consult a physician. Why risk it!
