Make sure the color you choose has a cool tone. The warmer color hues tend to contain an orange color additive that can stand out more with people who have blond hue hair and your exposure to the sun can also affect that. There are sprays you can buy that have SPF to protect your hair from sun damage. I have the same problems with my hair. My stylist said that it could stem from the fact I naturally have some red in my hair which can also accent it.

my hair does the same thing. you obviously have a natural red tint to your hair and when you dye it regardless what color it still comes through. soo waht i did is put a small amount of an ash color in my ahir and it helped stop the red from coming through as much, but it still came through a little bit but you couldnt really notice it. my friends mom is a cosmetologist and thats what she told me to do. sooo good luck. if you need anymore help or dont understand you can email me at britney5498@yahoo.com

good luck. =]

I can't really say without seeing your hair, but try Nice 'N Easy hair dye. It's made to cover gray, but covers others colors very nicely. I use the "Blue Black" color and it has totally turned my hair DARK black no matter what color my hair was to begin with.

Stop dyeing your hair. Now they're finding out that there are chemicals in the die that cause caner. Use a hair color rinse.

Avoid using colors with words like Golden or warm. Use colors with words like Ice, cool, these typically have a blue type base to them.
I'm just the opposite. If I use colors with cool or champagne or Icy my hair ends up looking purple!

do you have bleach underneath your hair? it sounds like you either have a lot of damage, hence the color not holding, or you are using too high of a developer.....try using a 10 next time to deposit more color. if you have bleach on your hair (from previous colors), you will need to put a filler on your hair in order to hold the color. if you hair is extremely damaged, try conditioning a lot and getting a hair cut. good luck!

It is true I also have the same prob. I read if you use grape juice it takes out the orange from it you just rinse your hair with it also dont put any ash on your hair it will make it green good luck

red looks cool, but the orange tint, idk,....
i think you shoul try to dye it dark brown, to get the red out, (it worked for me,) then dye it black or whatever color that you wanted.

nothing, most people have red in their hair even when they don't see it. I had blonde hair, and everytime I dye it red highlights show up. I finally dyed it red and don't have to worry about it.

Go to a beauty supply store like Sallys and talk to them, they have products that help with this.

Mine does too...too much auburn in my brown hair. Unless it's done by a professional, I think you can hang up blonde, but nice highlights would work.
