The most important thing to remember is to make sure the collar releases. If it is too tight all the time, your dog will be uncomfortable and can easily become confused, frustrated, or even injured.
Your vet would probably be happy to show you how to use the pinch collar properly.

Same as w/a "choke/chain/slip" collar & if you have to ASK,DON'T!!! You DON'T know what the BLANK you're doing!!!!
