It states the laws marking the separation between Israel and the heathen (condensed- o.k?) if that is so shouldn’t you Christians be in Jerusalem right now defending them against Hezbollah? Simplistic I know but I am trying to keep it well, simple…

Not even every Jewish American is back in Israel to help with defense. It would be nice if the Christians would go over for that purpose too. While some Christians claim to support Israel, in the end, if it comes down to gas for their cars and Israel, I suspect that they will choose gas.

But realize that there are Christians over there who do help rebuild, providing material assistance and such. So don't judge an entire group of people by the apathy shown by some.

The majority position of the Orthodox rabbis would be that Christians would be considered as "heathen" for worshiping a man. So I'm not sure if that is the line of argument you want to make on this issue.

I'm sorry I don't understand your question. I'm not aware of what scripture would require Christians to be in Jerusalem right now. However as a Christian I do believe we must support Israel, if not as a nation, then as individuals. Israels continued existence is the will of God. Thankfully our nation has chosen to remain committed to Israels security. That being said, I have serious concerns about many Americans today. The lack of patriotism among many and unwillingness to support their own nation sickens me. Considering also that many of the radical left are atheists anyway, I imagine that Americas continued support for Israel would be in jeopardy should these individuals gain more political power. This is sad as the horror of the holocaust alone should be sufficient even in a secular society to vow that it never happen again. Despite my concerns about the direction America is heading I can tell you that without reservation I would as an individual fight in defense of Israel should there be anything of value I could offer at my age.

P.S. As gratvol stated above, it would appear that thus far Israel is doing just fine without our physical support. If this should change, many of us stand ready to serve in her defense.
In any event Israel will never be defeated.

The ceremonial laws of cleanliness and the laws God gave Israel to mark a distinction between them and the world were abolished in Christ. Now the promise to Abraham long before Israel was even born of Him (or his seed Christ) are being fulfilled by the Gospel going out to every nation. As to whats going on everybody should be against terrorism no matter who or what.

I don't know which of the many Levitican laws you're talking about, but we are told in the bible that going against Israel would be a very bad thing to do, nations that go against Israel will fall.

Keep in mind that Leviticus was written FOR Israel, BEFORE Jesus came, and BEFORE the word "Christian" was first used. All the many, many laws are meant for people who choose not to live by grace!

if it came down to a long drawn out war I would join the Israeli army.

as for the guy above me. Israel did just fine without any US support in 1948 and 1967 and they can do it again.

don't go deep or you will drown. Jesus already came died on the cross and was raised from the dead, through this the law was fulfilled. man couldn't keep the laws ( kept on dropping the ball ) so God sent his only begotten Son. GOT IT.

I believe the Psalms say
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, may they prosper those who bless her

God told Abraham that He would bless those who bless Abraham and curse those who curse Abraham

There are important, sometimes you fight by praying for someone, sometimes by diplomacy, sometiimes other ways
