Stranger things have happened, but it will not help your dating life a whole lot. If it's a temporary arrangement, there is nothing wrong with it.

I'm sure you don't prefer to live there but I'm guessing you have little other option. In that case, do so, but only for a few months to get back on your feet. You might even have to take a second job so you can save enough. Make a plan and set a timeline for this plan to get cracking and get back on your own feet. And give your parents a little money for being so nice to let you back home. I'm sure they'd rather you be out of the house so they can enjoy being alone together. Good luck.

Ouch! Sorry I would NEVER even consider moving back in with my parents no matter what the situation is. Especially at 35 I think you need to stay on your own! Get a better job....I hope you don't have kids!

It's very okay. Your parents are older than what they were and they could 1 use your help 2 enjoy your company and 3 use this to better yourself in any way like go back to school or some thing

If your parents are okay with it, I guess it's all right.

If you're all right with it, I guess it's all right.

Who cares what other people think? Besides, you're going to pay for your living expenses and not live off Mom and Dad, right? So what's the big deal what your address is so long as you're not a drain on society (or your parents). They might enjoy your company. Or not, depending on when you left the last time!

That is actually the WAY of the "Gen-X'er" ~ the movie "Failure to Launch" actually has a DVD documentary on its special features...although they are not the first to document the phenomena. Its the thing to do. I know sooo many professionals...realtors(r), insurance salesmen, lawyers, doctors, etc. that live with Mom and Dad. Do it! I live in a home with my daughters and husband, but he is doing a residency and is thinking about buying a house we can share with other relatives for his fellowship. I'm down with it, man...until I can afford my dreamhome, I am willing to do the sensible practical thing, especially since it is so well accepted in our society, nowadays...

In most Asian countries...

There are sometimes up to three generations living in one house!

I would think it would be alright if both you and your parents consented. But you would have to contribute and offer something, whether it be money or a service, to the person paying the mortgage!

This may be the new way of living in the future...who knows!?!

The whole structure of "life as we know it" is changing!

Two words - technology and debt (both government and people)!

Are you in the states, Unemployment is at 4.6? There are jobs everywhere. I have friends who complain how hard it is to find workers. If you can't find a job in this economy, then you need to work on your job hunting skills.
I would say your parents have done their job, let them enjoy their time now, not having to worry about their unemployed son living in the house. They kicked you out once, don't make them do it a second time.

No don't do it! Stay independent and get a second job or one that pays more. I just moved out of my parents home due to surgery and a separation. WHAT A HEADACHE! I couldn't wait to leave to have a peace of mind!
