I just formed an LLC. I'm the only member, and so taxes are only paid once, through me. It seems to make sense to treat tithes the same way, and just take 10% off the top, BUT all of the gross revenue isn't to be treated as personal income, of course--some money stays with the business, and some comes to me as pay. I supposed I could tithe once for the business, and then again on what I take home. What's the right thing to do?

Profits seem like a good starting point for a business, because that is what YOU the person is reaping.

Good question. Here are a few miscellaneous thoughts I've heard preached/taught on this matter.
1. If tithing is related to God's blessing you (Mal 3:11), then on what do you want to be blessed?
2. Be careful not to fall into the trap of legalism; it's not the percentage that's important but your relationship with God (Mark 12:41-44).
3. Make it a matter of prayer; give as God leads (2 Cor 8:1-5).
4. When you make Jesus your Lord, He possesses all you have anyway, not just ten percent (Acts 2:44-45).

Yes 10% off the business and 10% of your income. Pray about it first and do what the Lord leads you to do

If you feel God is calling you to tithe on the business then it would be from the NET PROFIT. You have to pay for business expenses and the such, then you tithe.

Tithing is what God instructed His people to do for all that we have been blessed with belongs to Him. You're not supposed to give grudgenly or with hold what God has blessed you with for your own personal gain.

Don't tithe. It's a religious swindle to take your hard earned cash from you. Better you donate to some charity than to a church.

there is no "maximum perfect" answer on your question...all you'll get carry of are critiques. The tithe replaced into usual for theocratic u . s . a . of Israel. certain, there's a concern for making use of the tithe as a handbook, yet one ought to not be legalistic of their attitude to giving. people ought to furnish inspite of they sense forced (with the help of the holy Spirit). in my opinion, i imagine the finished "tithe" element can grow to be repulsive (even as the Church administration is pushing persons for it). Tithing replaced into an OT practice (residing in a theocracy), and is not similar in any respect to our situations/custom. If someone chooses to tithe, that's large. notwithstanding it should never be executed for causes of compulsion. i replaced into in a legalistic tithing Church, and it extremely destroyed me (this replaced into many years in the past even as i replaced into new to the religion). I handed over desires of self and kin as a thanks to "attain my tithe", and it very negatively impacted my religious develop. As I grew in faith and know-how i realized how stupid I were. "2 Cor 8:12" replaced right into a large awaken call to my legalistic attitude to tithing... 2 Corinthians 8:12 "For if the willingness is there, the present is proper in accordance to what one has, not in accordance to what he does not have." 2 Corinthians 9:7 "each guy ought to provide what he has determined in his heart to furnish, not reluctantly or less than compulsion, for God loves a satisfied giver." My suggestion: pray that God ought to educate you His will. no matter if the quantity is 8% of information superhighway/gross or 18% of information superhighway/gross, provide from the midsection as an providing to God.
