If you eat things with water in them like watermelons or melons that can be added as a cup of water. If I have melons during the day I drink 6 glasses. Otherwise 8.

you should drink 8 glasses of water but if your not use to drinking that much of water a day you will think thats alot so just try to get as much water as possible everyday

well, doctors have told me an 8oz glass every hour, but i have found two problems with this:
1) who has time to do that?
2) if you are very active, this is simply not enough
what i do is carry around a bottle with me wherever i go... keep a full bottle in your kitchen, your car, your office, your purse... everywhere... the idea is to drink as much as possible... Especially if you lead an active lifestlye!
NEVER LET YOURSELF GO THIRSTY! :-)
