When God sent the flood to destroy the earth there was great evil in abundance upon the earth. Everyone was doing what was right in his own eyes instead of taking note of the signs that their end was near. When Jesus comes, the same will happen----all of the wicked people in the world will be consumed with themselves, and by wicked I mean those who are not sober and watchful for our Lord's coming. When the tsunami hit Indonesia people were making merry and sinning up a storm---and they got caught in their sin and died, their souls going to hell. So shall it be when our Lord comes. Sinners will be caught unaware. Seeing as this letter was sent to your place of work, it seems to me that someone is trying to warn you and your fellow workers of your illicit behavior. It is not a death threat, just a warning that you are in danger of loosing your souls to hell fire and damnation if you do not cease whatever it is that you are doing that is displeasing God and get right with Jesus Christ. God loves the sinner, but he hates sin. He wants everyone to come to repentance and enter his kingdom of heaven.

This person is clearly spineless. Basically translates as the amount of sin and degredation and evil going on in the world before the Great Flood of Noah's Ark. The reason God chose to destroy the world as it was, was because there was so much sin and perversion so He decided to flood it and start again. This verse likens that to the state of the world before the second coming of Christ. The person sending the note possibly feels that you or whoever at your work place is sinning in a big way, or that your company is in some way involved in sin or corruption and is warning you. I have to say, that as a Christian, its not something I would do. Could be a prank, that they are just trying to freak people out, or that they are a genuine odd-ball. For greater understanding, read the rest of the chapter to get it all in context. Its not a Christian thing to do though.

OK Assuming you meant Matthew 24:37-39 (37As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.)
What it basically means is people will be going about their normal, everyday routines, not thinking anything is going to happen or change, then Jesus will come back.
So any time now Jesus can come back, it's just a matter of when He wants to (according to God's plan).

where do you work? I think basically what that passage is talking about is how during the time of Noah people were caught in their own lives and had no idea what was coming: the flooding of the entire earth. The Bible is saying that that is how it will be in the final days as well. No one will expect it. So where do you work?
37As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.

This was printed on it?

Sounds like a slightly disturbed person was showing concern for someone or all of you there. Maybe one of your coworkers or a former coworker?
Many people are worried and shaken by the recent events in the Middle East. All I can say is: No man knows the day or the hour of the coming of Christ. Always be ready, always seek Him, always have yourself clean before the Lord whether you believe in confession to the Lord Himself or to a priest I would say take care of it.

Mathew 24:37-39 shows that Jesus will come as in the days of Noah.

Loosely translated I would say that the writer was trying to make some sort of metaphoric reference to these days being identical to the days before the great flood. I also read into it that we are supposed to witness the second coming in the very near future...
my take on it?
Whatever...

The passage talks about a cleansing of the earth in the final days. But as to why it was sent to you/your firm I have no idea. Possibly wrongly addressed? Was it sent to anyone in particular? Possibly a "religious" fanatic or someone with a disturbed mine.

try www.biblegateway.com
you can look at it in a variety of translations
I recomment ESV or NKJV as they are essentially literal styles where some are a little more interpretive
